Van Hessen to transfer Talheim activities (Ger) to Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel (NL)
Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel, 7 January 2020 -- Van Hessen, supplier of natural casings and part of the German SARIA Group, will transfer the activities of its branch in Talheim (Germany) to Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel (The Netherlands). Trade unions and Betriebsrat (the German equivalent of the Works Council) have been informed.
The company in Talheim was acquired in 2016 and continued in 2017 as Van Hessen Germany Casings GmbH.
Harald van Boxtel (CEO Van Hessen Group) explains: "In recent years we have done everything we could to structurally improve the results of this company. In doing so, we analyzed, evaluated and streamlined the processes and products. These efforts have led to optimized distribution lines within the VH Group. Further consolidation in our sector forces us to be even more efficient in our business operations. Eliminating non-optimal processes is necessary. That's why we decided to transfer the activities from Talheim Germany to Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel."
