In every culture, the task of customer service is interpreted differently. But there are constants too. The Customer Service Department connects production and logistics to serve our customers in the best possible way and to make sure that they receive their products as quickly as possible. Mastery becomes evident in that the Customer Service Representatives don’t make any mistakes. Here is an all too brief encounter with two Customer Service Specialists who work for Van Hessen on two different continents.

In Brazil, Débora Rosa’s role in Customer Service primarily entails communication with the sales department and the sales representatives who are in direct contact with the customer. When she receives an order, Débora initiates very precise coordination of production and logistics to help customers in the best way possible. Affinity with the complex Brazilian tax system belongs to her expertise as well. “Our team wants to show that Van Hessen is reliable and that it is the expert in this industry.” Would you like to know what makes her happy? She is part of the supply chain of happiness. After all, Van Hessen makes an important contribution to the Brazilian frescal, a barbecue sausage that is always present where people have something to celebrate.

Star Xu works at the Van Hessen office in Shanghai. She is responsible for processing new orders in the
system, informing customers about Van Hessen’s product range, as well as preparing contracts. She is also in touch with customers about what needs to be shipped and when. Together with her colleagues, Star Xu supports the sales of natural casings, especially to clients in Japan and South-Africa. “We see our work as Customer Care instead of Service. By making just that extra effort we allow our customers to experience the Van Hessen culture and thus contribute to the ultimate client satisfaction.”
